The stage is set for the highly anticipated National Esports Championships (NESC) 2024, as the Esports
Federation of India (ESFI) announces the commencement of registrations. This prestigious event serves as the gateway to the World Esports Championships (WEC), slated to unfold in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Spearheaded by the International Esports
Federation (ISFI), WEC 2024 is poised to host an impressive lineup of 609 teams from various nations, competing across five thrilling game titles: Counter-Strike 2 (Open and Female), Dota2, eFootball series, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (Open and Female), and PUBG MOBILE.
Scheduled to commence on November 11, the tournament boasts a staggering $1 million prize pool, destined to reward the top 8 teams in each category.
NESC 2024 promises an exhilarating platform for Indian players to showcase their skills in DOTA 2 (Open), eFootball (Open), and Counter-Strike 2 across both open and female divisions. Victors will progress to the regional qualifiers, where they'll vie against fellow Asian counterparts for coveted slots in the global finals of WEC 2024.
Vinod Tiwari, President of ESFI, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "We eagerly anticipate the dawn of NESC 2024. Building upon India's impressive debut at the 2022 Asian Games, we envision even greater triumphs, particularly from our immensely talented female athletes."
Registrations for NESC 2024 are now officially open and will remain so until April 15th.
